Rp/Role Playing Rules
(Read this before you attempt to even make a character or an rp, you will be held accountable for your actions and are expected to read this!)
By making a character for the Role Playing Section all Role Players are expected to read this and abide by its rules and if at any time the rules are disobeyed or not followed all Role Players subject to these convictions will be dealt with by the appropriate consequence.
Section One: The Character and the User
Note you are allowed to make minor characters but only one main character is allowed. PM an admin if you are confused about this.
After joining this site you will notice the main part of this site is dedicated to Rping or Role Playing, at any time after joining you may create one character and only one. When creating the character there will be categories and areas that you will need to fill out completely and fully in order to be approved by the mod team.
Step One: When creating a character make sure you have a full visual idea and mental understanding of who you are creating. What is their age, hair color, their name, their history or life story, etc. You are responsible for making an in-depth character so the rping can become something everyone enjoys.
Step Two: After filling out the required info on your character post it in the Character Registration Area and wait for any member of the mod team to review it and either approve it or reject it. If rejected they will tell you what needs to be corrected, make the corrections and re-submit your character in the same thread.
Step Three: It is important to realize the difference the user and the character. One is in an imaginary world and the other is in reality. Do not get the two confused; any conflict resulting from a situation like this is not acceptable and foolish.
Step Four: Feel free to submit drawings, pictures, or any other image of representing your character at the bottom of your post that you submitted them with. Do not break any copyright laws on pictures or any materiel used, we will not be held responsible for any such action.
Step Five: If at any time you feel you would rather have a new character you must first contact an admin and state your ‘player’ (RP character) name. You want it deleted tell us privately and we will delete the character from the site. All decisions are FINAL. That particular character can never be used again.

Section Two: How the RP goes Round
An RP or a Role Playing Game goes in turns or cycles switching between all characters involved in order to allow all people to move at the same level and pace. It is a controlled and realistic event that is fun for all people included. The following rules and guidelines will tell you how RPs will be handled and carried out, as well as consequences for breaking them. (Tracking Machine= The term used for keeping watch on players who have broken a rule.)
1. Absolutely no spamming in a RP intended thread. All people caught doing this will be given three warnings which will be kept track of, and if the person exceeds these they will be temporarily banned. Other players are encouraged to report members who do this.
Ex: Bob posts and finishes his turn in the rp. John Doe then posts about cows and cream. Then Ralph posts in the rp and finishes his turn. John Doe posts about chicken and everything tasting like it. Etc…until Ralph and Bob get fed-up and Nivaro is told about John Doe. Nivaro personally visits the thread and private messages John. Nivaro then posts John as a spammer in the tracker machine.
2. Multi-posting in a RP thread is an excusable mistake, but is annoying and gets old quick. Again three warnings after the first initial warning, after the first the multi-poster is kept track of and yes of course if they exceed these they will be temporarily banned. Members are encouraged to report problem players.
Ex: Synthenetix opens an RP and asks for others to join. Gurck replies and is allowed in. Kinetics asks to join and is allowed. Gurck starts the rp and tells he will be gone for the next two days. Kinetics goes ahead and posts five times even though Gurck is gone and said he would be. Synthenetix goes later and reports Kinetics. Nivaro has a chat with Kinetics and private messages him. Put in the tracker machine.
3. Cussing, Trolling, 1337, Harassment, Bullying, Flaming in wrong spots, Religious trouncing or Preaching, Inappropriate material, Sexual terms, Wrong or annoying use of CAPS messages are never accepted in any RP and all members are encouraged to report a player who does any of these. Convicted members will be warned three times and then depending on the charge dealt with as seen fit.
The Rule of God-Moding: God-Moding/GM/Gm/gm is when a character does an act that allows to perform an action in order to escape harm, do a humanely impossible feat, act as a ‘god’, physically know what wasn’t said in previous posts, or control the actions and reactions of other players. (This is the most serious and occasionally broken rule in an RP.) There are many ways to do this and happens quite often but for some reason people never recognize it.
Ex: Kordoth runs around the building, inching along with his 45 caliber after seeing the rebel from the window outside.
I’ll have to go from behind, He thinks to himself.
END Kordoth post.
The Rebel runs to the shadows and aims towards the door on the back wall, firing five shots with his Colt Peacemaker.
END Rebel post.
Kordoth dodges all bullets and pops the Rebel in the head and nuts blowing off his scalp.
Two examples of GM, both players did actions neither could fully anticipate nor realize. Rebel cannot take what a player wrote in one post that he wasn’t told in words and seem to know it; he cannot know where Kordoth actually is coming from.
Kordoth cannot magically dodge five bullets without some damage and then shoot back through a door and tell the damage of his shots.
The player who deals the damage is the one who is dealt it, the attacker only does the attack, and the defender responds and describes the damage.
Keep in mind however, you cannot magically dodge all attacks and you cannot magically bring a person back to life! You can get injured, you can get killed!
Consequences for God-Moding are real and not taken lightly. Three warnings and if it continues you will be temporarily banned and then permanently banned. All members please do not hesitate to report this.
The RP
When making an RP post the idea and briefly describe what will happen in it. The actual plotline can be talked about in private messages and only in them. Ask for people to join you and state they are joining. Only once you are allowed in the RP can you post in the RP.
If any RP is seen to have no point and creates no role playing environment it is spam and will be deleted, as will the people in be punished.
After creating the RP and you have the people in it create a turn system by how the people joined the RP. Stick to it and the plot and enjoy yourselves.
Open RP are when people can join at anytime during the RP from when it starts.
Closed RP are when only a certain amount of people or certain people are allowed in RP when they start. Closed RPs will be determinded by mods only
Explanation of How, What, Where, Why, When, and Who.
In your character biography, you must explain how they came across blah-blah to be so good at blah-blah or to know blah-blah. You cannot be good at it unless your writing and biography show that you understand it. This applies for anything that can ascertain to your characters past, abilities, features, skills, etc.
The Rule of Placed Matter
If something is moved and put in one place, it does not magically move into another without proper explanation or simply cannot do the action. If something is moved to one place it must wait for another turn to move to the desired spot.
Human Reactions and Actions and their Personality Rule
During an rp all characters being played have some personality that is normal to them, therefore it must be made clear in the biography.
However, you must act in the RP in a way that would not constantly lead to characters yelling at each other; Role Play in a way that your character has a colorful personality. DO NOT think you can go around and boss others around or make them bend to your will just because you are the 'Savior of the World', etc. People react in their own way unless hindered by something in the rp.
That's the condensed version. Once the site gets a storyline it'll grow a bit faster. Check the RP registration thread for the Character Biography.
