The sun shone groggily down upon the gloomy beach. White grey waves spalashed against the shore hewn straight from the cliffs. Grey and black water slicked rocks jutted out of the coastline at random intervals and made a sort of haphard bolder-terrace. And a heavy white mist clung wetly to the breeze.
Everything was palid, colorless, and grey.
But...throughout the dismal dreariness and constant crash of waves there rung a charming clear little sound. A small sliver bell was being tinkled, quite impaciently, to gain much deserved attention.
Good afternoon, I thankyou.
In the very middle of the terrace a white and red checkered picnic blanket was spread. A chipped tea pot, various mismatched cups and goblets, and a plate of cut mangoes, pickles, and chocolate tarts, rested on top in a neat square.
The speaker was a thin white little girl, with long bright green hair, equally green eyes, and an overly large straw hat covered in turnips. The other members of the gathering were similarly odd. A large knarled oak tree, a cosmopolitan blender, a large red sofa covered in lacy doilies, and a small cracked silver toaster with light black feathery wings. The latter resting in the girls lap like a faveorite dog.
All in all they seemed shockingly out of place at the dull sea shore.
Thankyou for coming today! Does anyone have anything to say before we start!? the girl pipped up again straightening her hat.
